• The importance, the tasks and the content of didactic of geography as a scientific discipline. History of the development of didactic of geography as a scientific discipline, its present status at home and abroad.
• The institutions responsible for the development of educational geography. The mission, the tasks and characteristics of geography lessons. Historical development of geography lessons in Slovenia and abroad. European dimension of geography lessons.
• Geography curricula, syllabi, catalogues of knowledge, selection and distribution of the school matter in the education process. Geography lessons in primary schools and all levels of secondary schools. Distribution of the learning content throughout the whole vertical of geography education.
• Psychological basics of geography teaching.
• General and specific didactic principles at geography lessons.
• Teaching modes and methods at geography lessons.
• Planning geography lessons. Teacher’s preparation for geography lessons. Gradual development of a class period. Class management and class interaction.
