Comprehension of standard written texts in common use.
The comprehension of standard oral texts marked with clear, natural pronunciation, which are used in predictable situations (television and radio news, discussions, debates).
Gaining independent use of written and oral skills in common communication situations with clear communication purpose (argumentation, narration, planning and description).
Thorough study of civilzation-cultural aspects of Spain and Latin America.
During a process of gaining communication competence a special emphasis is put on the following language aspects:
- verb tense: use of the past tenses, sequence of tenses, past perfect tense
- verb mode: the subjunctive (forms and basic use, contrast in use of indicative/subjunctive mode),
- some phrasal verbs,
- text coherence: use of basic connectors,
- syntax: conditional clauses.
